Close this panelAditya leads the Education team at the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), an independent body that manages all integrity-related matters for the sport of athletics. The AIU was created as a part of the governance reforms of World Athletics in 2017.
In a career spanning close to two-decade, Aditya has worked across several disciplines including education, public relations and communications in sports and media organisations in India, Dubai, Switzerland, and Monaco. He has developed and implemented engaging education programmes in sport integrity at multiple levels, including at the global level. He is a member of the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Education Committee since 2019 and an observer at the Council of Europe’s Advisory Group on Anti-Doping Education. Mr Kumar holds master’s degrees in communications and sports management.

Close this panelAs the Director of Education at Sport Integrity Australia, Alexis leads a team to develop innovative education programs on a range of sport integrity threats including doping, match-fixing, child safeguarding and abuse in sport.
Alexis has a Masters degree in Bioethics from the University of Sydney, as well as a Bachelor degree in Communications, coupling her passion for communicating complex information in simple and engaging ways, with her interest in understanding why and how people make decisions.
Alexis has worked at Australia’s NADO for eight years, and previously worked in science communication roles for the Chief Scientist of Australia and a range of national scientific institutions.
She is a regular collaborator with other anti-doping organisations, and is a Member, Chair and Trainer in WADA’s Global Learning Development Framework program.

Prior to joining WADA, Amanda was Head of Education at United Kingdom Anti-Doping (UKAD), where she crafted and led their education strategy, making clean athletes her top priority and supporting UKAD’s aim to protect clean sport. She was the visionary and innovator, leading many UK firsts such as; the UK's Clean Sport Forum, Elite Athlete Support Policy, Education Delivery Network, University Accreditation Scheme, and author of the first UK-wide Clean Games Education Policy.
Amanda’s focus has always been to harness the power of education and training, for people and system development. Starting her professional career as a teacher and lecturer in the post-compulsory education sector, she then transitioned to her other passion – sport. Her main expertise outside of education has been in creating and implementing strategies for organizations that impact culture, people and behaviour.
She is a visionary, a system builder and people developer, capable of unifying stakeholders in a common agenda. She delivers and leaves a lasting impact.

She is an anti-doping educator for the ITA and leverages her passion for events, media, and moderation to assist organisations in effectively communicating their initiatives. Ana has moderated events for notable entities such as the IOC, ITA, ThinkSport, and other major sports organisations. She is fluent in Italian, Croatian, and English and proficient in French and German.

Close this panelA Physical Education teacher by ‘origin’, Anna has amassed governance and management experience in educational institutions and sport governing bodies from national to international level. She has spent over 20 years to date serving in various capacities in the Olympic Movement, including 9 years as the first female appointed CEO/SG of the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee from 2011-2020. She is a Member of the IOC Athletes’ Entourage Commission, serves on several Working Groups including - under the IOC, Women Sport International, and ANOCA Zone VI. In Zimbabwe she chairs the National Anti-Doping Coordinating Committee, a platform of collaboration between the Government and Sport Movement in Zimbabwe. Anna has a passion for service to sport and giving back to communities through training and knowledge sharing initiatives. She is currently engaged as a Development Manager for World Rowing, responsible for the management of development activities in Africa.

Anna specializes in systems analysis and change processes. Her experience as a front-line social worker informs her work making her particularly sensitive to power dynamics and equity. Evaluation and design processes are her preferred disciplines for influencing change. Her strength lies in her strategic design capacity, pattern-finding and analysis super power, and group facilitation skills. Anna highly values utility, prioritizing practical and user-centered approaches to solicit meaningful action and change.

Close this panelAnnemarie is Senior Education Manager in Anti Doping Denmark (ADD). For 10 years she has been responsible for the development of the education and prevention program for sports in ADD. Besides that, she is member of ADD’s research committee, Deputy Chair of the Council of Europe T-DO Education Drafting Group and acted as co-chair of the technical working group (TWG) for I&I under the WADA Global Learning Development Framework (GLDF).
Through education, dedication, and motivation Annemarie works to empower people and organizations in promoting clean sport. And through cooperation and sustainable partnerships with sports federations and other stakeholders, she has a specific focus on strengthening the core values of sport, fair competition and creating a level playing field for all athletes.
Annemarie is dedicated to time with family and friends, to martial arts, sports in general, singing and a good laugh.

Close this panelAnne-Marie Elbe is a Full Professor of Sport Psychology at the Faculty of Sport Science at Leipzig University, Germany. She previously worked at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, Northumbria University, Newcastle in the UK and at the University of Potsdam, Germany. She has led and participated in a number of research projects from various funding agencies that focus on doping prevention (e.g. World Anti-Doping Agency, International Olympic Committee, German Federal Institute for Sport Science, Anti-Doping Danmark, etc.). A focus of her anti-doping research is on ethical decision-making and values-based doping prevention programs. Anne-Marie Elbe has published over 120 peer reviewed journal articles, nine monographs and 25 book chapters. She is past President of FEPSAC, the European Federation of Sport Psychology and member of the Scientific Board of ECSS (European College of Sport Science).

Close this panelArmony Dumur joined the French Anti-Doping Agency, AFLD (Agence française de lutte contre le dopage) in September 2020 as an intern while completing her Masters in Sport Management & Marketing. After two consecutive internships with the Education & Prevention team, she joined AFLD full time as a project manager in 2021. She’s mainly in charge of AFLD’s educators training and the communication and education plan for the RTP & TP athletes and ASP, although the past few months have been dedicated to coordinating the logistics around the GEC 2024.
Prior to joining AFLD, Armony worked as a certified trainer and swimming coach, where she had the opportunity to guide people in reaching their health and fitness goals in a safe and effective manner.
A former competitive swimmer, Armony won multiple NCAA titles while doing her B.A in English at Wingate University (USA). When not training in weightlifting or CrossFit, she enjoys a brunch with her friends and her twin sister.

Close this panelCamila Ubillus Deur is an Associate Project Officer at UNESCO’s Section for the Elimination of Doping in Sport within the Social and Human Sciences Sector, host of the 2005 International Convention against Doping in Sport. With an academic background in international security, her focus within the Convention’s Secretariat is to facilitate the work of the governance of the Convention and its Fund, as well as to ensure the liaison with internal and external stakeholders. Through her work in the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport, she has been able to provide support to over 30 States Parties since
2021 in the conceptualization, drafting, submission, and implementation of projects focusing on education, capacity-building and policy advice, aiming to enhance their capacity to defend sport values, ethics and integrity.

Close this panelCatherine Coley joined the French Anti-Doping Agency, AFLD (Agence française de lutte contre le dopage) in July 2018, to oversee the development and implementation of AFLD’s education plan and the launch of the Athlete Committee.
Prior to joining AFLD, Catherine worked at the World Anti-Doping Agency’s headquarters, in Montreal, where she had the opportunity to collaborate to raising awareness about anti-doping, including coordinating athlete outreach activities at Major Games.
A huge sports fan and a competitive swimmer, when Catherine is not helping the French sporting community demystify the anti-doping rules she can be found in a swimming pool or on a tennis court.

Close this panelCatherine is internationally recognised as an integrity in sport expert and has in-depth knowledge of the sport eco-system from multiple perspectives: athlete, legal advisor, event organiser, Government regulator, lecturer, media commentator, conference presenter, author, mentor, board/tribunal member and consultant. She is a sports lawyer with degrees from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Investigations Management from Charles Sturt University. Catherine also helped lead the evacuation of the Afghan women’s cricket team after the return of the Taliban in 2021.
Catherine has specialised in anti-doping policy since acting for the Australian Olympic Committee in the lead up to the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. She then lived in Norway, working for Anti-Doping Norway, and in Qatar on the 2006 Asian Games, before returning to work for the Australian Sport Anti-Doping Authority. Catherine won the 2002 WADA Legal Paper Prize for Legal Requirements for Blood Testing – Oceania, which was awarded at the WADA Conference in Denmark in 2003.
Catherine is an Associate Professor and Sport Integrity Research Lead at the University of Canberra and Senior Fellow at The University of Melbourne Law School. The University of Canberra has a Memorandum of Understanding with Sport Integrity Australia, which includes several co-funded projects, including a PhD scholarship for: Athlete experience in anti-doping. Catherine is on the International Cricket Council Independent (anti-doping) Review Board, Head of the World Curling Federation Anti-Doping Hearing Panel, the Asian Racing Federation Council on Anti-Illegal Betting & Related Financial Crime, and a member of the National Sports Tribunal (AUS).

Close this panelAs part of the Education team Colin implements the Global Learning and Development Framework (GLDF) to deliver role specific standardized training for the anti-doping sector and to build a community of learning. He also leads and manages the GLDF Trainers who facilitate the delivery of the standardized training. This role includes GLDF Trainer recruitment, training, ongoing professional development, and deployment.
Colin had previously spent 10 years working within the Education team at UK Anti-Doping spending most his time delivering Athlete/ASP clean sport education before taking a lead on the development of an Education Delivery Network.
As well as professional commitments Colin is actively involved in sport as a coach and competing as a recreational level athlete.

Close this panelProf. Cornelia Blank is Professor and deputy head of the Institute for Sports Medicine, Alpine Medicine & Health Tourism. She is an internationally published and cited researcher with
experiences in several international doping-related projects. With a background in economic, health sciences and psychology, her research focuses on prevention and health promotion in and by means of sport. Topics include the perception of doping prevention measures from an athletes’ and athlete support personnel perspective with a special focus on anti-doping education. She is furthermore interested in developing and evaluating current anti-doping education strategies, integrating the athletes’ and ASP perspectives. She is an expert in quantitative research methods with experience in applied mixed methods including qualitative approaches. She has led several national and international research projects as principal investigator funded by, for example, the International Skiing and Biathlon Union, the IOC, WADA and the EU.

Close this panelDaniela Lux, MSc. holds a master’s degree in sport science (focus: sports therapy) from the Paris-Lodron-University of Salzburg, Austria. As PhD student she is currently employed at the Institute for Sports Medicine, Alpine Medicine and Health Tourism at UMIT TIROL. After successfully coordinating the pilot-project “Life after Doping”, her research now focuses on exploring the life experiences and health impacts of anti-doping rule violations on athletes. In 2021 joined the Organising Committee of the Commonwealth Games, Birmingham 2022 as Head of Anti-Doping. Following the conclusion of the Commonwealth Games joined the Organising Committe of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games as Head of Anti-Doping, my current role.

Close this panelDr. David Müller is the head of the ‘Information and Education’ department of NADA Austria since 2008. He holds a master degree in education and a doctoral degree in sport science.
David is an active part of the national and international anti-doping community, especially in the field of education. He is a member of the Advisory Group on Education of the Council of Europe and of its subgroup that worked on the International Standard for Education and the respective guidelines. Currently he is involved in WADA´s Global Learning and Development Framework as chair of a technical working group on Code Compliance and trainer for education managers / officers.
In addition to his work with NADA Austria, he dedicated his scientific work as lecturer at universities and author of several publications on clean sport, e.g. his doctoral thesis ‘doping and doping-equivalent behaviour in and outside of sport’.

Close this panelDr. Derwin Chan is a health psychologist with diverse research interests in the areas of health promotion, assessment of child mental and physical health, sport and exercise science, and behavioural medicine. He is an Associate Professor at Education University of Hong Kong. Derwin is a Chartered Psychologist and a Fellow with the British Psychological Society, and a Chartered Scientist with the British Science Council. He has over 100 publications of peer-reviewed articles related to the psychology of health, sport and exercise, and behavioural medicine. Derwin’s research primarily focuses on psychosocial, motivational, and social cognitive processes underpinning individuals’ health behaviours (e.g., physical activity, healthy diets, safety, and disease prevention). He is the Editor-in-Chief of Stress and Health, Advisory Editor of Social Science & Medicine, Executive Editor of Health Psychology Bulletin, and editorial board member of six other scholarly journals.

At the educational level, she has a postgraduate degree in strategic planning focused on large organizations and macro companies. Close this panelDora is a member of both WADA’s Athlete Council and Education Committee. She is also the Vice-President of the International Gymnastics Federation Athletes’ Commission. She is a former aerobic gymnast for Team Hungary who won a World Games silver and two bronze medals, the European Games gold and was the European and World Championships Vice-Champion. Dora has a Master of Health Promotion and Sport Sciences degree from and she is currently working as an international coach, judge and owner of a leotard company.

Eva has been a consultant for over twelve years with the World Anti-Doping Agency. In her time there, she helped develop the Sport Values in Every Classroom toolkit and transform it into a digital version, Sport Values Online; she supported the development of the Guidelines for the International Standard for Education (ISE), the Athlete and Athlete Support Personnel (ASP) curriculums, as well as many eLearning modules for the Global Learning and Development Framework (GLDF). Since 2018, Eva has also helped to plan the program for WADA’s Global Education Conferences (GECs) in Beijing, Sydney, and now Cannes!

Gobi brings more than 30 years of experience in organizations spanning the education, military, sports and corporate sector.
Presently, he serves as the Director-General, South East Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization; member of the OCA Medical and Anti-Doping Committee; and member of the National Anti-Doping Advisory Board (NADAB) in Singapore. Over the years, he has introduced and implemented various initiatives and partnerships under his guidance and with the support of stakeholders.

Close this panelIsaac Lockett is a PhD student at Kingston University, completing a research programme focussing on the legal and social position of doping-related sanctions under the supervision of Professor Andrea Petroczi and Dr Elizabeth Pummell.
Isaac’s PhD research programme is concentrated on understanding whether equality exists when considering the sanctions related to anti-doping rule violations across geographic boundaries. The first stage of his programme has started with generating an understanding of the global landscape of criminal legislation related to sports-related doping and the potential impacts of the further criminalisation of sports-related doping.

He completed his doctoral training at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on the management of sport and the development of human potential. This includes a focus on the ways in which athletes are influenced to use or abstain from the use of performance-enhancing drugs. His current research examines the social influence of close others on young athletes, and the design of educational programs to influence athletes’ knowledge of and attitudes toward doping.

Close this panelI was born on the 4th of Jan 1989, in Nandi County Kenya. Attended local public primary school in Tinderet and later join Kapsabet boys high school for my secondary education.
Joined the National police service after high school when they identify my talent. Started serious training after graduating from police college in 2008. Won gold in All Africa Games 2011 - first Kenyan to do so in field events. Trained in Finland after getting a scholarship from IOC in winter of 2012 and that helped me qualify for 2012 Olympics London. Placed 12th overall in those Games. 2013 came 4th at the World Championships in Moscow, a whisker loss to Tarabin in his last throw to overthrow me from bronze! 2014 Commonwealth Games Champion and later in 2 weeks won the African Champs 2nd title having won in 2012 gold in Benin just before Olympic 2012. 2015 World Championships champion in Beijing and incidentally African record to date 92,72m. 2016 silver at the Rio Olympics. 2022 bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. 6th overall in javelin all time.

Close this panelKady is an African Olympian who competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as a co-captain of the Malian women’s basketball team. She was a professional player in Europe and a five-time French National Junior Champion before completing her Marketing and Management degree from Fordham University in New York while competing with a full scholarship at NCAA division one level Basketball. Kady is a Master Trainer and Steering Committee member of the International Olympic Committee’s Career+ Program and the International Red Cross Committee's' Career Development Program for persons with physical disabilities. She has facilitated workshops in over 50 countries (over 40 in Africa), She is an Athlete Ambassador and an Education Expert for the International testing agency and has been chairing the WADA Education Committee since 2020.
Kady is also the New Branding and communication Manager for Africa Greentec based in Senegal.

He educates athletes on Anti-Doping by giving them alternative acceptable ways of competing clean including but not limited to Injury prevention and rehabilitation. He’s also a renowned researcher on doping issues in Kenya. Martin previous worked as county director of sports and a high performance trainer for the National Rugy teams both Sevens and Fifteen’s in 2015, both teams exemplary excelled in performance during the period. He has been a sports medicine lecturer in four (4) universities in Kenya.
Having been in the sports industry for the last 15 years, Martin prides himself on the skills acquired in management and administration, as well as organizational, dedication, and a positive attitude.

Having previously worked at UK Anti-Doping, he has 14 years’ experience working in sports integrity within elite sport and prior to that taught Physical Education for five years. A trained DCO, Matt has managed doping control stations and conducted testing at a range of major games and international events.
At the ITIA, Matt is part of the leadership group and his team are delivering a strategic plan to broaden the scope and reach of the education and training programme across both anti-doping and anti-corruption. The program aims to inform, educate and protect players, support staff and officials across the global sport of Tennis.

Close this panelMike is an experienced anti-doping professional, who has been director of World Rugby’s anti-doping unit for eight years. He has many years of service in the industry having previously managed testing and education programmes for UK Sport (now UK Anti-Doping), The Football Association and UEFA.
Mike oversees the work of World Rugby’s anti-doping education team and its Keep Rugby Clean awareness campaign. He is a previous member of the Council of Europe expert education group on Anti-Doping, a member of the WADA GLDF project team, and a current member of the WADA audit team.
Mike is a junior football and rugby coach, and has qualifications in communications and social science research. However, most importantly he is the offspring of two teachers - which means (i) clearly he was never going to grow up to be a teacher, and (ii) education is definitely in his DNA…

Close this panelNina Makuc undertook her studies in the Faculty of Sport at the University of Ljubljana; graduating with her degree in Physical Training in 2003 and her PhD in Kinesiology Science in 2011.
Nina joined Slovenian anti-doping Organisation in 2011. At first, she was responsible for both testing and education programs. With the growth of SLOADO she became solely responsible for education programs – developing and implementing doping prevention programs for children, young and elite athletes, and their support personnel.
Nina was a project manager of Erasmus+ project “prePLAY” which was selected by EACEA as a success story and a model of best practise. At this point she is a project manager of Erasmus+ project “I Value” and a project team member at project “RESPECT-P”.

She started her professional career as the Head of the Physical Activities Department a sport services enterprise (SEAE) in Barcelona.
In 1989, she was hired by the COOB’92 where she was the Deputy Director of the Logistics Department. On the occasion of the Barcelona Games, she worked as the Deputy Director of the Sports Information Centre of the Olympic Village.
In 1993 she joined the IOC and from 1998 worked for its Olympic Studies Centre (OSC) as the Head of External Relations. In 2004, she worked at the Games Department as the Coordinator for the Summer Olympic Games before coming back to the OSC.
She is currently the Manager senior of external relations and academic programmes at the IOC OSC where she manages the collaboration with academic community, including the research grant programmes.

Olivier possesses extensive international experience in the anti-doping industry; particularly, in the areas of legal, finance and governance. He started his legal career with Carrard & Associés in Lausanne (Switzerland), where WADA was his client.
In 2002, Oliver first joined WADA as the Agency’s Legal Director to which he added the title of Finance Director in 2004. In 2011, Olivier returned to Carrard & Associés as partner, where his practice focused on sport, arbitration and commercial law. In 2014, Olivier returned to WADA as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of WADA.
Olivier holds a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics (England) and a Master of Business Administration from McGill University, in Montreal (Canada).

Close this panelRebecca Lee has worked in anti-doping for 12 years, firstly at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and, for the last 10 years, as a member of the UEFA Anti-Doping team.
During her time at UEFA, with the support of the team, she has introduced the ABP in European football, launched a comprehensive sample storage programme, developed a fully integrated Paperless Doping Control system, and was responsible for the development and launch of UEFA’s new Education strategy.
Rebecca has been a member of WADA’s TUE Technical Working Group, and the CofE’s Advisory Group on Education and is currently a member of the CofE’s Working Group for Gender Equality in Anti-Doping.
Outside of work, Rebecca can usually be found hiking in the Swiss mountains. She is also the manager of the FC UEFA Ladies football team where she has an undefeated record in the local league!

An Assistant Professor at the Management Faculty of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, the author of several dozen scientific publications in the field of international and European law, as well as sports law. One of her recent publications includes the Council of Europe Anti-Doping Convention and the World Anti-Doping Code within the framework of European Union law.
She has been a recipient of numerous national and international scholarships and research grants. Since May 2019, she has been a member of the Disciplinary Panel. Since 2019, she has been affiliated with ISF, currently serving as the Vice Chair of the ISF Health and Medical Care Committee. She was also a member of the legal committee of the University Sports Association's. Currently, she is a member of the "dual career for athletes" team in the Academic Sports Association.

In this role, he oversees organizational strategy and daily operations – including budgeting, fundraising, business development, grant administration, scientific outreach, and communication with the PCC Board of Governors and Scientific Advisory Board.
Prior to joining the Partnership for Clean Competition, he was a Program Officer with the Sports Diplomacy division at the U.S. Department of State from 2009 – 2021. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor for the Sports Industry Management Master’s program at Georgetown University. In this role, he has taught Corporate Social Responsibility and Globalization of Sport, as well as serves as a Capstone Advisor.

Close this panelDr. Sasha Sutherland manages teams in 18 Caribbean RADO member countries ensuring the rules, regulations, education and testing are maintained at international standards, which she anticipates will redound to the benefits of all athletes competing in sport.
She is a part-time lecturer in The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus’ and serves as a Director of the Barbados Olympic Association Inc. where she is Chair of the Education Commission and a member of the Governance Commission. Dr. Sutherland is also a member of the National Compliance Platform for Anti-Doping in Barbados.
She has published work on menstrual health and Sport for Development, sexism and sport impacts on girls and women, and race and gender in sport.
She is a former triple-discipline athlete of Lawn Tennis, Football and Hockey and brings her knowledge of being athlete, administrator and academic together to inform the world in any way she can.

Currently, Thais is member of the WADA’s social science research expert advisory group, ITA education ambassador, international clean sport educator (ITA), anti-doping consultant, and international doping control officer.
She has been working for almost 10 years in the anti-doping area, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. Her main focus has been to protect the athletes’ careers and safeguard their health by providing them with the knowledge for better decision-making.
Previously, Thais was the office advisor of Brazilian NADO (ABCD), where she was the head of research and a member of the education team. Her role was to support the ABCD’s technical and governmental areas to protect clean sport. She has an athlete-centered approach, in which her top priority is the prevention of doping.

Close this panelThierry Zintz is professor of Sports Organisations Management at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium. He was the Dean of the Faculty between 2010 and 2016. He chairs the Olympic Chair in Management of Sport Organisations at the same university. In this framework, he works closely with the Louvain Research Institute in Management (LouRIM) as a senior researcher. He was also Vice-President of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee from 2001 until 2017. From May 2010 until September 2021, he was the director of MEMOS, an Executive Master in Management of Sport organisations, organised by the International Olympic Committee. Close this panelThomas is working at UEFA since 2018 and currently serving as an anti-doping coordinator overseeing the education strategy. Before moving into the education area of UEFA’s anti-doping unit, he was leading UEFA’s testing programme during his first 3 years at UEFA. During this period, he successfully obtained a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Anti-Doping for Sport from the University of Lausanne.
Prior to joining UEFA, Thomas gained diverse experience working in various hotels worldwide and earned a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management from the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne.
During his leisure time, Thomas can be found at the Judo-Jujitsu club Bussigny's dojo, watching Champions League games in a pub, or in a plane to explore new exotic destinations.

Close this panelTony joined WADA in 2013. He now oversees the social science research program and education policy as part of the WADA Education Department. He is responsible for implementing the Social Science Research Strategy in cooperation with WADA’s Social Science Research Expert Advisory Group. Tony was the WADA lead in the development of the International Standard for Education which came into effect in January 2021. He manages the education component of the compliance review process of the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standard for Education. Before joining WADA, Tony was Head of Performance Planning with Sport Ireland (formerly Irish Sports Council) where he coordinated the funding program in close cooperation with the Irish Institute of Sport and Olympic National Federations. He has an MSc in Applied Social Science Research and an Executive Masters in Sport Organization Management.

Close this panelVanessa manages a comprehensive and WADA compliant anti-doping program that includes testing, education, TUEs, intelligence and setting standards of good practice for all the constituent national boards across international cricket.
With over 16 years’ experience within the discipline, Vanessa remains passionate about the welfare and well-being of athletes ensuring that they are well informed on anti-doping matters. Cricket is a global game and being alive to cultural nuances has been critical to informing Vanessa’s leadership, guidance and the effectiveness of the ICC’s anti-doping programmes, in particular education. She has embraced the challenge of making education programmes relevant and engaging to athletes across the spectrum of ICC’s Membership.
To broaden her experience of international sports, Vanessa was the 2022 Commonwealth Games Anti-Doping Manager and a TUE Committee Member for the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games.

Close this panelDr Barkoukis is a Professor at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research interests involve the study of the social-cognitive determinants of sport- physical activity- and physical education-related behaviours, with a specific emphasis on the promotion of clean sport and sport integrity. He has published more than 120 research articles and book chapters on these topics. He co-authored the first meta-analysis on the psychological determinants of doping and co-edited the first book on the psychology of doping. He served as coordinator, national coordinator or research associate in 30 European Union, 7 WADA and 4 IOC funded projects.

Close this panelVenera Abdulla graduated from the National Medical University of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holding a qualification degree as a medical doctor. Her expertise extends to sports medicine, where she completed a residency.
In 2009, she entered the Anti-Doping community, starting as an International Doping Control Officer and contributing her expertise to major events like the Asian and Olympic Games.
Currently serving as the Director of the Central Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADOCA) and a member of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Anti-Doping Commission, Venera has been instrumental in shaping anti-doping initiatives in the region. Since 2013, she has collaborated with RADOCA member countries to establish robust anti-doping structures, particularly in nations where National Olympic Committees (NOCs) operated as National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs). Her efforts have led to the successful establishment of four additional NADOs in the region, a testament to her enduring commitment to promoting clean and fair sports.

Close this panelVladyslava is a two-time Paralympian and an award-winning Para sport advocate. In 2016 she became Malta’s first female swimmer, the first female athlete since 1980 to represent the country at the Paralympic Games, repeating the feat in Tokyo 2020.
Through her involvement with the European Paralympic Committee’s Youth Ambassadors programme she helped raise awareness about the Paralympic movement in Europe by visiting schools and speaking about the benefits of Para sport.
She assisted with the setup of Malta Paralympic Committee and Athletes’ Council. Vladyslava facilitated the implementation of I’mPOSSIBLE in Malta, the official educational programme of the Paralympic movement. She contributed to the National Para Sport Strategy and collaborated with the University of Malta on the introduction of Para sport into local coach education and development.
A member of the IPC’s Athletes’ Council, Vladyslava currently works as a consultant with Loughborough University on developing a Paralympic performance basics framework for UK Sport.

Close this panelEffective January 2020, Witold Bańka commenced in his role as President of WADA. Prior to this, since May 2017, Mr. Bańka served as the European representative on WADA’s Executive Committee in his capacity as Minister of Sport and Tourism, Poland.
In November 2015, Mr. Bańka was appointed Minister of Sport and Tourism, Poland, to the cabinet of Prime Minister Beata Szydło; and, in December 2017, he was reappointed to the cabinet of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. In this role, Mr. Bańka initiated the amendment of the Act on Sport that’s main objective was to increase transparency of the work of Polish sports associations; and, to eradicate corruption and nepotism from sport. He is the author of the bill on the Fight Against Doping in Sport, which comprehensively regulates all matters relating to combating doping in Poland.
Prior to entering politics, Mr. Bańka worked in the public relations sector, delivering training courses in media relations and reputation management. In this capacity, he also created advertising campaigns and built PR strategies with leading Polish companies.
As a 400-meter runner, Mr. Bańka represented Poland internationally from 2005 – 2012, with career highlights that included: silver medals in 2005 and 2006 at the Polish Athletics Junior Championships; a relay gold in 2005 at the European Athletics Junior Championships in Erfurt, Germany; a gold and a silver medal in 2007 and 2009 respectively at the Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand and those in Belgrade, Serbia; and, a bronze medal in 2007 at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka, Japan.
Mr. Bańka was born in October 1984 in Tychy, Poland; and, graduated with a degree in political science from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. While he retired from elite sport in 2012, he is still very active in sport, including running marathons.

Close this panelA consultant with the World Anti-Doping Agency, Youmna has dedicated herself to the GLDF project since its inception, bringing to bear 30 years of combined experience in project management and human capital development learning solutions for the enhanced capability and developing professionalism of the global antidoping workforce. Extensive international experience across 3 continents, as well as a specialization in the field of DICE, allow her to understand, and advocate for, the entirety of the anti-doping workforce.
If a nomadic lifestyle were a competitive sport, Youmna would win gold. Although she currently resides in Paris, home will always be Montreal.
